FREE THE BEARS is an Australian wildlife conservation and animal welfare organization that works with local communities and governments in Asia to help three of the worlds least-known bear species - sun bears, moon bears (Asiatic black bears) and sloth bears - from misery, torture and the threat of extinction.
In the game, players cut the rope to let the bear fall safely to the ground, safely and successfully rescue the trapped character, and escape from all dangerous traps. You never know what challenges are waiting for you.
Rescued moon bears explore their beautiful new home. In collaboration with the Laos Department of Forestry, construction of the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre in Luang Prabang began in 2003. Eventually three bear houses were built with a capacity for 25 rescued bears.
Free the Bears is a not-for-profit organisation that works to stop the suffering of bears in Asia. It operates bear sanctuaries, rescues bears from illegal wildlife trade and bear bile farming, and raises awareness of the threats to bear populations.

Free the Bears has been working with the Cambodian Forestry Administration to provide a safe sanctuary for bears rescued from the illegal wildlife trade in Cambodia since 1997. Today the Cambodian Bear Sanctuary is the worlds’ biggest sanctuary for sun bears, home to rescued bears housed in world-class forest enclosures.
