Stingy, as his name implies, is the rather stingy and greedy. His catchphrase is "It's Mine!", which he says about almost everything, going as far as to have a song, The Mine Song, where he claims that everything in LazyTown belongs to him. Despite his greedy behavior, he cares about his friends deeply, and enjoys playing with them.

Stingy asks Sportacus "What's wrong with the World" which is the Title of a famous GK Chesterton novel on social issues. The scene of Stingy running over Sportacus is reused from the episode Crystal Caper. Later Stingy declares himself "The Child formerly known as Prince" which is a reference to the Music Artist formerly known as Prince.
