A living memorial. On July 1, Memorial University remembers those who served and died. In their memory we continue to strive for excellence and to strengthen our unique relationship, and responsibility to, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
On our largest campus, you'll find state-of-the-art study and research facilities, alongside on-campus student residences and a wide variety of academic programs. Student services, offered by Student Life and our students’ union, MUNSU, support our students in every way possible.
Memorial University of Newfoundland, also known as Memorial University or MUN (/ m ʌ n /), is a public research university in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, based in St. John's, with satellite campuses in Corner Brook, elsewhere in Newfoundland and in Labrador, Saint Pierre, and Harlow, England.
Newfoundland’s west coast is home to the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University. With about 1,250 students, Grenfell Campus offers a personalized education with degree programs in liberal arts and sciences, with a focus on the fine arts and the environment.
Memorial University is one of the largest universities in Atlantic Canada, offering more than 300 program options to a student population of almost 19,000. The largest of our campuses is located in Newfoundland and Labrador’s capital city, St. John’s.
Grenfell Campus, Memorial University’s beautiful west coast campus, is located in Corner Brook, NL. Small yet mighty, Grenfell Campus is a place to ask bold questions, to aspire, to express yourself fully, to test theories, and to make discoveries.
