  1. GPS Visualizer is an online utility that creates maps and profiles from geographic data. It is free and easy to use, yet powerful and extremely customizable. Input can be in the form of GPS data (tracks and waypoints), driving routes, street addresses, or simple coordinates.

  2. GPS Visualizer's map, profile, and conversion programs have the ability to instantly add elevation data from a DEM (digital elevation model) database to any type of GPS file. Available DEM sources include NASADEM, NED/3DEP, SRTM3, and ASTER.

  3. Convert a GPS file to plain text or GPX. This form reads a tracklog or waypoint file (in a recognized format) or plain-text tabular data, and converts it to an easy-to-read tab-delimited or CSV text file, or to a GPX file.

  4. If you don't have GPS data and want to interactively draw on a map, use GPS Visualizer's "sandbox" to create your own GPX or KML file. GPS Visualizer can read GPS data files (tracklogs & waypoints), street addresses, or simple coordinates, and plot them on Leaflet maps or Google Maps.

  5. GPS Visualizer can create Google Earth KML files from GPS data files (tracklogs & waypoints), street addresses, or simple coordinates.

  6. Use the toolbar on the right to add waypoint markers and tracks, then click one of the "save data" buttons to download as plain text, GPX, or Google Earth KML. Center the map on a location: Drawing tools: pan. wpt.

  7. Draw GPS tracks to most remote places on Earth. Route between points of interests and export data to your GPS navigation device. With GPXLAB you can plan your next outdoor adventure.
