I spray painted the base a rusty brown color, then Applied gloss medium where I wanted the cracked earth to be, then covered the gloss with Agrellan earth. The rock was dry brushed DeathClaw Brown and then Tau Light ochre. I think I dry brushed the cracked earth that color as well.
20 de feb. de 2017 · In the previous post about my badlands terrain build I glued polystyrene blocks to MDF, took fork and knife to them and covered the result in instant filler and PVA. The next step is sanding the base and the flat parts of the mesa rocks.

I do a mix of ultra fine, fine, small, medium and large red gravel mix and use Liquitex Acrylic natural sable sand medium. I smear the sand medium on the base with a tiny putty knife and then dust the base with a pre mixed concoction of all the gravels and some super small cork chips.
3 de mar. de 2017 · Building terrain (especially scratch building terrain) gives you a wonderful excuse to go through the artwork and fluff of a system to get inspired. Playing Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar is fun, but by playing these games on a table with proper terrain you take it up to awesome.
