A large-scale restoration and renovation project is now underway at the William H. Gray III 30th Street Station. The project will enhance the station’s functionality and improve the customer experience for Amtrak, SEPTA and NJ TRANSIT customers.

Gray 30th Street Station is a major stop on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and Harrisburg Line. It also serves as a major commuter rail station, served by all Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Regional Rail lines, and is the western terminus for NJ TRANSIT's Atlantic City Line.

Amtrak officials gathered today with federal, state and local representatives along with other community leaders to celebrate the construction kickoff for major renovations at William H. Gray III 30 th Street Station in Philadelphia.
Project Schedule. The redevelopment of the William H. Gray III 30th Street Station began Fall 2021 by starting the design phase that preserves the historic significance of the station. Concurrently, PIP began to maintain the facility, operations, and concessions in Fall 2021 and will continue in this role through 2071.
