This study investigates how street robbery relates to urban patterns, and by urban pattern we mean a type of urban patch, 4 considering its various manifestation and characteristics (infrastructural, demographical, socioeconomical, environmental, etc.).
29 de oct. de 2015 · Key findings of this research include significant shifting of hot spots from weekday to weekend and afternoon to evening, as well as decisive spatiotemporal pattern variations between school-day robberies vs. non-school day robberies.
Though no single factor completely accounts for the street robbery problem, the interrelated dynamics among victims, locations, offenders, and routines all contribute to street robbery patterns. Street robberies occur when motivated offenders encounter suitable victims in an environment that facilitates robbery.
15 de oct. de 2020 · The findings show some distinct patterns of street robbery due to the immediate and lagged effects of the variables relatable to the study environment’s unique setting. Two variables, geographic mobility, and barbershops were particularly significant across three of the outcome models.
The public concern about crime in the streets is to a large extent a concern about robbery, and that concern may have profound effects on the life of the city through its influence on choices about where to live, work, shop, and go out to dinner (Cook and Ludwig 2000 ).

Throughout this period, it has been shown a decrease in high-impact robberies in Mexico City.
