26 de sept. de 2018 · After almost 50 years of active operations, the last military Sea King helicopters flying in the United Kingdom, left RNAS Culdrose for retirement today. Aircrew from 849 Naval Air Squadron will then fly them to HMS Sultan for disposal. The fourth aircraft will travel by road.
Belgium retired its last Sea King on 21 March 2019, with a farewell flypass over the Belgian coast. Their SAR role was taken on by four NHIndustries NH90 NATO Frigate Helicopters (NFHs) flying out of Koksijde Air Base near the coast of Flanders.

26 de sept. de 2018 · British Sea King helicopters have completed their last ever flight. The aircraft flew over Portsmouth Harbour on Wednesday, before landing at Gosport's HMS Sultan where they will be stored. The flight from their base at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall took them past the Navy's hi-tech destroyer HMS Diamond and Portsmouth's landmark Spinnaker Tower.

24 de nov. de 2023 · Sea King 189 will make its last flight on Monday 27 November 2023 from Stavanger/Sola (HQ 330 skvadron) via Lysebotn, Røldal, Odda, Torpomoen, Gol, Fagernes, Lillehammer, Hamar, Gardermoen, Kjeller, Oslo and Drammen to Rygge air base where the helicopter will be (temporary) stored.
