The animal's chances weren't increasing, and still had +200% blood loss and less than 4 hours to live. After quite a while of intensive patching, stitching, bullet removal, blood cleaning, and racing against the clock with +100% blood loss, the animal created a special connection with Tsao Mao.
I also tamed a Thrumbo recently with a 20 animals guy. It was supposedly a 3.3% chance, as that is the number I saw float up when it happened. The attempts on the other Thrumbos all were 1.1 - 1.8% tho for some reason.
13 de jun. de 2017 · Thrumbo taming chance. I have the feeling the chances are much lower. Is it possible to test this 0.5% somehow? I tried to tame a Thrumbo but it failed with 0.5% chance. This means one player in 200 would still have success... How many of you managed to tame one in the latest update (0.17.1557 compiled on June 2)? < 1 2 >
The chance is very low, even with a level 20 tamer its like 1% chance. But even if you get it, its not worth it, they eat massive amounts of food (like, MASSIVE amounts of food) and they are hard to train, plus, 1 thrumbo is worth like 3 colonists, so raids will be a lot harder.
You want to tame a Thrumbo? well most of the time because you only have three (very small chances) to tame, or you've downed it and tried to get your doctor to bond to it, You've had to savescum or use devmode to tame it. but I have now found the perfect method.
They are the hardest creature to tame with only a 3% chance to tame (unless a person has inspired taming) The easiest way to tame a thrumbo is by using a colonist with at least 13 medical skill and downing the Thrumbo Via Kiting, tending to the Thrumbo and hoping for a bond.
