Horror. Raymond C. Caine Sr. was the younger brother of Horatio Caine. He has worked undercover several times (leading his wife, son and Horatio to believe he was dead). He later returned to Miami and made contact with Horatio, who then set up a meeting between him and his "widow", Yelina Salas.
Raymond Caine, Jr. (Alex Buck, Hayden Tank, and Carter Jenkins, seasons 1–5), Horatio's nephew, son of Yelina and Raymond Caine (Horatio's brother). He is first introduced in "Grave Young Men", when Horatio finds out that he has been getting into fights at school.

Action Crime Drama. The body of a drug addict is found in a barn. Horatio, Eric and Tim investigate the scene and are nearly killed, when the place explodes. The case becomes personal to Horatio when one of the suspects claim to know Raymond Caine, his brother.
He is very concerned about the reputation of his lab, and takes great care to keep them clean, perhaps because of his experience with his tarnished younger brother, Ray.
