Peter Bardens (19 June 1945 – 22 January 2002) was an English keyboardist and a founding member of the progressive rock group Camel. He played keyboards, sang, and wrote songs with Andrew Latimer. During his career, Bardens worked alongside Rod Stewart, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and Van Morrison. He recorded eleven solo albums.

Pete was one of the founding members of the British progressive rock group CAMEL, playing keyboards, often the Mellotron and synthesizer, and wrote the majority of the songs while he was there (usually along with guitarist Andrew Latimer).
The album was dedicated to former member Peter Bardens, who had died early that year, The group was inactive for much of the following decade as Latimer received treatment for myelofibrosis. After Latimer's recovery, Camel returned to touring in 2013, including full performances of The Snow Goose.
