Mud was founded by singer Les Gray and drummer Dave Mount.They formed a band with bass player Ray Stiles and guitarist Rob Davis.On being discovered by producer Mickie Most during a gig, they were hooked up with writer / producer partners Chinn And Chapman.In 1980, after declining success and a replacement for Les Gray, the band decided to quit.
" Dyna-mite " is a 1973 single, written by the songwriting team of Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn. It was originally written for the Sweet, who rejected it, and later inherited by the English glam rock band Mud. [3] . Chapman and Chinn produced the song as well. Chart performance.
