Martin David Fry (born 9 March 1958) is an English singer, songwriter, composer, musician, and record producer. Fry's music career spans more than 40 years.
ABC led by charismatic singer Martin Fry formed in Sheffield in the 1980’s . They wanted to fuse the world of disco funk with their own unique new romantic, post punk vision. ABC’s debut ‘The Lexicon Of Love’ went to No 1 and sold over a million records.
Martin Fry, who wrote the fanzine Modern Drugs, interviewed Vice Versa and shortly afterwards they asked him to join as synthesizer player. Fry accepted and by late 1980 the band had evolved into ABC, with Fry becoming lead singer.
