Diavolo has a stand called King Crimson, obtained when he used one of the stand arrows in Egypt. He also has a sub-stand called Epitaph. Epitaph and King Crimson are both Diavolo’s stand, not “Epitaph is Doppio’s stand”. His first ability is to view a forecast of the future, projected from his hair.
There's two parts to King Crimson's ability. The first is Epitaph, which allows Diavolo/Doppio to see what is fated to occur in the near future. The predictions Epitaph gives are absolute, what it predicts is what will happen and there's no way to change that, with only one exception.
The predictions that Epitaph shows the user are 100% fated to occur, only capable of being changed by Stand abilities that affect Fate, like Requiem Stands and King Crimson's main ability. This last one is what is primarily used to mitigate any problems that are shown in the prediction.
Who are the weakest characters could defeat Diavolo without out haxing King Crimson? (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo)
So my guess is that king crimson will return changed in some way either only having epitaph or it's time skip ability changed in some way and possibly being the stand of doppio instead of diavolo for a bit which it then transfers on diavolo for an arc before getting defeated
