Most historians generally agree that Gilgamesh was a historical king of the Sumerian city-state of Uruk, who probably ruled sometime during the early part of the Early Dynastic Period (c. 2900 – 2350 BC).
Gilgamesh o Gilgamésh (acadio: 𒄑𒂅𒈦, Gilgameš, /ɡɪl.'ɡa.meʃ/ [1] anteriormente 𒄑𒉈𒂵𒈩 Bilgamesh [2] [3] ), también conocido como Istubar, fue un soberano de la ciudad sumeria de Uruk (actual Warqa, en Irak) y un héroe de la mitología mesopotámica.
