Doc Hudson (also known as The Fabulous Hudson Hornet) is the deuteragonist of the 2006 Disney•Pixar animated film Cars and Lightning McQueen's mentor in racing. The character passed away off-screen before the events of Cars 2, due to the death of his voice actor, Paul Newman in 2008.
