Peter Holsapple & Chris Stamey - hERE aND nOW. Peter Holsapple is a songwriter, musician, journalist, dad and member of the db's and continental drifters. Chris Stamey is a record producer, mixer, and audio engineer at Modern Recording, a recording studio located in Chapel Hill, NC.
Peter Livingston Holsapple (born February 19, 1956) is an American musician who formed, along with Chris Stamey, the dB's, a jangle-pop band from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He became the band's principal songwriter and singer after Stamey's departure.
Mavericks is a collaborative album by the two original singer/songwriters of jangle pop band the dB's, Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey. It was originally released in 1991 on Rhino Records and was re-released on January 15, 2008 by Collectors' Choice Music. The reissue featured six previously unreleased tracks.
The band members are Peter Holsapple, Chris Stamey, Will Rigby, and Gene Holder. Although the members are all from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the group was formed in New York City in 1978. In 2012, the band completed its first new studio album in 25 years and its first in 30 years with the original lineup.

For a time, he joined the wonderful Americana group the Continental Drifters (with Susan Cowsill of The Cowsills). Chapel Hill, North Carolina’s Chris Stamey, played briefly with the late Alex Chilton & Big Star.
