In 2017 Drayton played drums on a worldwide tour with Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul. Between November 2021 and November 2022, Drayton was a member of Bob Dylan 's backup band during four legs and 103 concerts of his Rough and Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour .
Charley Drayton (b.May 9, 1965, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA) is a US drummer, bassist and producer, generally regarded as a multi-instrumentalist. Grandson of traditional jazz bassist Charlie Drayton and son of successful jingle and record producer Bernard Drayton.

Charley Drayton joined the band of Paul Simon at the summer Europe Tour of 2008. He is born and raised in a musical family in Brooklyn and started with piano lessons. Charley began his professional drummer and bass recording career with master musician Bernard Wright in 1980.
