The Adaptation Fund Board is the governing body of the Adaptation Fund, a multilateral fund under the Kyoto Protocol. It consists of 16 members and 16 alternates from different regions and constituencies, who meet twice a year to review projects and programmes.
The Adaptation Fund was established in 2001 to finance concrete adaptation projects and programmes in developing country Parties to the Kyoto Protocol that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change.
