10 de ago. de 2009 · Steve Morse. When Steve Morse became the guitarist for Deep Purple in 1994, he had big shoes to fill - the band’s previous axemen were Joe Satriani, Tommy Bolin and, of course, Ritchie Blackmore. But Morse’s reputation for six-string excellence preceded him.
As a master of jazz-fusion, progressive, hard rock, and heavy metal, Steve Morse has touched millions with a guitar in hand. The broad spectrum of Morse’s work, which includes stops along the way with the Dixie Dregs , Kansas, and most notably, Deep Purple , is as awe-inspiring as it is expansive.

Over time, Purple have survived an ill-fated ‘funky period’ spearheaded by one-time bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes.
