1 de jul. de 2022 · The post-2002 decline in Shanghai suicide rates reversed in 2009, and the suicide pattern changed greatly from 2002 to 2020. With the current increasing trend in suicide rates, targeted suicide-prevention strategies featuring multi-departmental cooperation are necessary.
13 de ene. de 2023 · In China, the suicide rate of women was significantly higher than that of men and differences between rural and urban areas are nearly the three-fold (Phillips et al., 2002). In contrast, in Western countries, the male-to-female ratio is frequently greater than 3:1 and there was no large discrepancy between rural and urban suicide rates.

1 de jul. de 2022 · Our study reviewed all deaths by suicide in Shanghai, China, from 2002 to 2020, and reported, for the first time, a reversing of the previously declining trend in suicides in China. Over the past two decades, patterns of suicide have greatly changed in terms of gender ratio, age structure, area distribution, and suicide methods.

1 de may. de 2024 · The overall suicide rate of male was 8.82 and female was 5.65 per 100,000 persons in 2017. However the decline of suicide rates for people aged 70 and older was the greatest declination (33.73/per 100,000 persons) among all the age groups in China.
