5 de feb. de 2021 · Sand reclamation involves physical, chemical, or thermal treatment of sand for reuse in molding and coremaking. There are two major types of systems, mechanical and thermal. A mechanical system physically breaks down lumps of spent casting sand, into clean sand.
3 de oct. de 2023 · FSP’s process removes contaminants from used sands with 98% effectiveness, so the reclaimed material will have nearly equal mechanical strength and flowability as new sand. According to FSP, this means foundries can use it to fulfill up to 95% of their “new” sand requirements.
15 de abr. de 2024 · FSP GmbH (Foundry Sand Processing) offers the regeneration of used sand as a service. This not only saves foundries the cost of purchasing new sand. The new operator model also relieves them of investment, energy, and labour costs.

GMD’s PNU cooler and cooler-scrubber are the main components in two thermal reclamation systems, one for chemically bonded sand reclamation, and one for clay-bonded sand reclamation.
