Armenia (en armenio: Հայաստան Hayastan ⓘ), oficialmente la República de Armenia (Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն, Hayastani Hanrapetut'yun), es un país de Transcaucasia sin salida al mar localizado en Europa Oriental y Asia Occidental.

The rapid growth of the city in the 20th century was due to industrial development and to the hydroelectric plants on the Hrazdan.
