The Secret Slot of the Totem is unlocked upon reaching a totem with a 12 hour ritual time. Upon unlocking, Geffi will tell you to look behind the totem, where the Secret Slot can be found and unlocked. By using Suns, you can activate the Secret Slot to create a bonus gem from your ritual.
Unique Gems are gems that can only be earned during weekly Challenges, Events and through opening Spheres. They are stored in your treasure hall and cannot be stolen. You can use unique gems and emeralds in order to learn spells in the ancient totem.

Each time you save a gem in the Treasure Hall, you increase your Saved Rating. When the Rating is high enough, you will get a Magical Sphere that contains Unique gems. If you save gems with more than 1 000 000 value, you will get a bonus Sphere.
The rating is the total value of all your gems. The higher your rating, the better your position in the league. To increase your rating, you need to collect as many valuable gems as possible.
