Philip Wilson Steer OM (28 December 1860 – 18 March 1942) was a British painter of landscapes, seascapes plus portraits and figure studies. He was also an influential art teacher.

After about 1895 his work became more conventional and more closely linked to the English tradition of Gainsborough (especially in his portraits), Turner, and Constable. In the 1920s he turned increasingly to watercolour.
