David Simon (nacido el 16 de agosto de 1960) es un periodista, escritor y productor estadounidense de series de televisión.Trabajó como periodista durante trece años para el periódico The Baltimore Sun. David Judah Simon (born February 9, 1960) is an American author, journalist, screenwriter, and producer best known for his work on The Wire (2002–08). He worked for The Baltimore Sun City Desk for twelve years (1982–95), wrote Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets (1991), and co-wrote The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood (1997) with Ed Burns .
David Simon is a former crime reporter and the creator of The Wire, a critically acclaimed TV series set in Baltimore. He has also written and produced other shows based on his books, such as The Corner, Treme, and The Deuce.
