Rudolf Hausner (4 December 1914, Vienna – 25 February 1995, Mödling) was an Austrian painter, draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor. Hausner has been described as a "psychic realist" and "the first psychoanalytical painter" (Gunter Engelhardt).

Rudolf Hausner (* 4. Dezember 1914 in Wien; † 25. Februar 1995 in Mödling, Niederösterreich) war ein österreichischer Maler, Grafiker und bedeutender Vertreter der Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus. Mit Hermine Hausner ist er der Vater der Malerin und Bühnenbildnerin Xenia Hausner.

5 de feb. de 2007 · A major Austrian painter and printmaker, Rudolf Hausner studied art at the Academy in Vienna from 1931 to 1936, under Fahringer and Sterrer. Many of his early paintings were confiscated and branded as ‘degenerate’ by the ruling Nazi party in 1938.
