C.P.O. Sharkey is an American sitcom television series, created by Aaron Ruben, that aired on NBC from December 1, 1976, to April 28, 1978. The series starred Don Rickles in the title role, with Peter Isacksen, Elizabeth Allen, Harrison Page, and Richard X. Slattery featured in the cast.
C.P.O. Sharkey (1976-1978) is a satirical look at Navy life at a Navy recruit training station in San Diego, as seen through the expereinces of Chief Petty Officer Steve Sharkey, an acid-tongued, twenty-four-year veteran who wages his own private war against the changes that constitute the new Navy.

Sharkey tries to help a recruit write a break up letter but is called away before finishing the task. Robinson sees the unfinished note and assumes that his buddy Sharkey is suffering heartbreak. The trainees have some free time and an inflatable woman appears as a gag.
