Dear Mother... ... Love Albert: Con Rodney Bewes, Garfield Morgan, Sheila White, Geraldine Newman. Dear Mother...Love Albert (later retitled Albert!) is a British television sitcom that aired on ITV from 15 September 1969 to 6 June 1972. [1] . It was created by and starred Rodney Bewes. [2] . Bewes co-wrote and produced the series with Derrick Goodwin. [3] . The show regularly appeared in the TV ratings top ten throughout its three-year run.
Albert's love life has taken a turn for the serious - he is about to get engaged to Doreen. Her mother takes a more than passing interest in the choosing of the engagement ring and wants Albert to come and live with them so she can keep an eye on him!
