Gary Fred Marcus (born 8 February 1970) is an American psychologist, cognitive scientist, and author, known for his research on the intersection of cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence (AI). Marcus is professor emeritus of psychology and neural science at New York University.
Gary Marcus is a leading voice in artificial intelligence, challenging its current limitations and researching human language and cognitive neuroscience. He is the author of five books, including Rebooting AI, and the founder of Robust.AI and Geometric.AI.
