John Collins Warren (August 1, 1778 – May 4, 1856) was an American surgeon. He was a founder of the New England Journal of Medicine and was the third president of the American Medical Association.

John Collins Warren was born on May 4, 1842, the fourth member of the Warren dynasty. Better known as "Coll" Warren, he graduated from Harvard College in 1863 and the Medical School in 1866.

Warren was a brilliant, skillful surgeon in the era before antisepsis. He was among the first American surgeons to do a wide range of procedures, including surgery to treat a strangulated hernia, cataracts, bone tumors, and aneurysms.
