Harold Marshall Sylvester Richards Sr. (August 28, 1894 – April 24, 1985), commonly known as H. M. S. Richards, was a well-known Seventh-day Adventist evangelist and author. Born in Iowa, he is most famous for founding the Voice of Prophecy radio ministry and was a pioneer in religious radio broadcasting.
17 de abr. de 2000 · H. M. S. Richards, Jr., speaker emeritus of the Voice of Prophecy international radio broadcast, died of heart failure on April 11 at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. He was 70. Pastor Richards’ father founded the Voice of Prophecy ministry on October 19, 1929, with a radio program on KNX, Los Angeles.

Dr. Richard's life has been totally committed to evangelism--the preaching of the good news of the gospel. His preaching ancestry reaches back through several generations. One of his early progenitors was a lay preacher and traveling companion to John Wesley.
