Mark Allan Takano (/ t ə ˈ k ɑː n oʊ / tə-KAH-no; born December 10, 1960) is an American politician and academic who has served in the United States House of Representatives since 2013, representing California's 41st congressional district from 2013 to 2023, and the state's 39th congressional district since 2023.
For more than thirty years, Mark Takano has worked to improve the lives of Riverside County residents as a high school teacher, a college trustee, and now as a Member of Congress. Born and raised in Riverside, Mark's commitment to public service began at an early age.
