Rainer Candidus Barzel (20 June 1924 – 26 August 2006) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). He served as the eighth president of the Bundestag from 1983 to 1984. Barzel had been the leader of his parliamentary group and a short time federal minister, before his party went into opposition in 1969.
Rainer Candidus Barzel (* 20. Juni 1924 in Braunsberg, Ostpreußen; † 26. August 2006 in München) war ein deutscher Politiker ( CDU ). Er war von 1962 bis 1963 Bundesminister für gesamtdeutsche Fragen und leitete ab 1964 die CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion.
