Micki Free (born May 20, 1955) is a guitarist and singer of self-identified Native American descent. He won a Grammy Award for his contribution to the Beverly Hills Cop (1984) movie soundtrack and has won two Native American Music Awards.
Mickey Free (b. 1847/1848; d. 1914, Apache name Mig-gan-la-iae), birth name Felix Telles, was an Apache Indian scout and bounty hunter on the American frontier. Following his kidnapping by Apaches as a child, he was raised as one and became a warrior.
Micki Free is a Grammy Award Winner & Five Time Native American Music Award Winner. Micki was discovered and managed by Gene Simmons of the legendary super group KISS.
