Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq (en urdu: محمد ضیاء الحق) ( Jalandhar, 12 de agosto de 1924- Bahawalpur, 17 de agosto de 1988) fue un general y político pakistaní, dictador de Pakistán entre el 16 de septiembre de 1978 hasta 1988, al morir en un confuso accidente aéreo. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq (12 August 1924 – 17 August 1988) was a Pakistani military officer who served as the sixth president of Pakistan from 1978 until his death. He also served as the second chief of the army staff of the Pakistan Army from 1 March 1976 until his death.

Zia was commissioned in 1945 from the Royal Indian Military Academy in Dehra Dun and served with the British armoured forces in Southeast Asia at the end of World War II.
