Jason E. Chaffetz (/ ˈ tʃ eɪ f ɪ t s /; born March 26, 1967) is an American retired politician who served as the U.S. representative for Utah's 3rd congressional district from 2009 until his resignation in 2017. He chaired the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2015 until 2017.
