Kofi Atta Annan (Kumasi, Costa de Oro Británica, actual Ghana, 8 de abril de 1938-Berna, Suiza, 18 de agosto de 2018) [1] fue un político y diplomático ghanés. Fue el 7.º secretario general de las Naciones Unidas entre el 1 de enero de 1997 y el 31 de diciembre de 2006. [2]

Annan and the UN were the co-recipients of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize.
