Otomo Yoshihide [1] (大友 良英, Ōtomo Yoshihide, born August 1, 1959) is a Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist. He mainly plays guitar, turntables, and electronics. [2]

Otomo Yoshihide was born in 1959 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. He was a pioneering figure in the Electroacoustic Improvisation scene, and today is a musician and producer — a cross-genre music maker actively performing free improvisation, noise, and pop, simultaneously and independently on a global scale.

Yoshihide Otomo es un compositor y multi-instrumentista japonés nacido en Yokohama el 1 de Agosto de 1959. Se dio a conocer internacionalmente en la década de los 90 como líder del grupo de noise rock Ground Zero.
Turntable and guitar player Otomo Yoshihide was born on August 1, 1959 in Yokohama, Japan. He spent his teenage years in Fukushima, about 300 kilometers north of Tokyo. Influenced by his father, an engineer, Otomo began making electrical devices such as a radio and an electronic oscillator.
