Markku Uula Aleksi Laiho [2] (Espoo, 8 de abril de 1979-Helsinki, 29 de diciembre de 2020) [3] [4] fue un músico, cantante, y compositor finlandés, conocido mundialmente por haber sido el fundador de la banda de death metal melódico, Children of Bodom.

Kimberly Goss, su ex-pareja y antigua compañera de banda en Sinergy ha confirmado que el músico murió a causa de "una degeneración del tejido que conecta el hígado con el páncreas generada por el alcohol".
