El hielo negro 1 2 (en inglés black ice, 3 en francés glace noire) se refiere a una fina capa de hielo vidrioso en una superficie. Si bien no es verdaderamente negro, es virtualmente transparente, permitiendo que el asfalto de los caminos pueda ser vistos a través de él, y por eso el término de "hielo negro".
