She also feels as if she doesn't know who she really is, and when her adopted father dies, she begins to search for her biological father.
After hard-drinking Laird dies, Gerri decides to learn more about her past by visiting Geneva (Debra Monk), Laird's sister, who lives in California's Redwood Forest.
