Neil Geoffrey Armfield AO (born 22 April 1955) is an Australian director of theatre, film and opera.

I was born in April 1955, and nine months later Premier Joe Cahill announced the international design competition which Jørn Utzon won a year later. As I grew up, so, it seemed, did it.
