Mills College at Northeastern University in Oakland, California is part of Northeastern University's global university system. Mills College was founded as the Young Ladies Seminary in 1852 in Benicia, California; it was relocated to Oakland in 1871 and became the first women's college west of the Rockies.

14 de sept. de 2021 · Mills College, a historic women's college in Oakland, will partner with Northeastern University, after a months-long court battle with its alumnae association. The deal is expected to take effect in July 2022 and will affect students, faculty and staff.
