Robert Edward Chesney (born August 10, 1977) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, a position he has held since December 2023.

Bob Chesney is the head coach of the Holy Cross football team since 2018, leading the Crusaders to five consecutive Patriot League titles and four NCAA playoff appearances. He has coached 82 all-conference selections, two finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy and one All-American.
