  1. Major Lee Applewhite (born July 26, 1978) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the head coach for the South Alabama Jaguars. [1] He served as head coach at the University of Houston from 2017 to 2018, where he previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
