Dale L. Romans (born August 14, 1966, in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse trainer, best known for winning the 2011 Preakness Stakes with Shackleford and the Breeders' Cup Turf with Little Mike. He also upset American Pharoah in the 2015 Travers Stakes with Keen Ice.

Romans won his first Breeders' Cup race with Tapitsfly in the 2009 Juvenile Fillies Turf. In a Triple Crown training trifecta, Paddy O'Prado was third in the 2010 Kentucky Derby and stablemate First Dude was second in the Preakness and third in the Belmont Stakes.

A licensed trainer since age 18, Dale Romans saddled his first winner on February 15, 1987, at Turfway Park. The son of trainer Jerry Romans, a leading trainer at Turfway and twice leader at Ellis Park, Dale began working in his father's stable from literally the time he could walk.

The elder Romans, who trained on the Kentucky circuit for nearly 35 years, was the leading trainer at Ellis Park twice and at Turfway Park once. He died in November 2000. Dale bought a 105-acre farm in Central Kentucky and offered his first consignment of four horses at Keeneland’s 2012 September Yearling Sale under Romans Racing and Sales.
