Thomas Elroy Oberheim (born July 7, 1936, Manhattan, Kansas), known as Tom Oberheim, is an American audio engineer and electronics engineer best known for designing effects processors, analog synthesizers, sequencers, and drum machines.
Tom Oberheim is an American inventor, instrument designer and electronic music pioneer. From his involvement in the emerging electronic music industry of the 1960’s to the present day, Tom has been a leading figure in synthesizer design and introduced many notable innovations in the electronic music field which have since become universal.
Oberheim is the 21st century return of the legendary company that helped fuel the original electronic music revolution. Now, just as then, Oberheim is guided by the vision of engineer and inventor, Tom Oberheim.
