Beatrice Roini Liua Faumuina ONZM (born 23 October 1974 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a former New Zealand discus thrower. Career. Faumuina was a gold medallist at the 1997 World Championships in Athletics. She has represented New Zealand in four Summer Olympics.

At the 1997 world championships, in Athens, she won the gold medal from defending champion Elina Zvereva, of Bulgaria, and Olympic gold medallist Natalya Sadova, of Russia. Faumuina nearly didn’t make the final, having opened the qualifying round with two fouls.
