Mingma Sherpa (16 de junio de 1978) es un montañero nepalí oriundo de la región próxima al Makalu, dentro del distrito de Sankhuwasabha de Nepal. Mingma Gyabu Sherpa (also known as Mingma David, born 16 May 1989), is a Nepalese mountaineer and rescue climber. He is the youngest person to climb all 14 eight-thousanders, and holds the Guinness World Record for "Fastest time to climb Everest and K2", which he did within 61 days.
He was one of the main stars of the Everest Air documentary series in 2016, and in 2013, set the record for the highest ‘long line’ rescue ever performed, dangling hundreds of feet below a helicopter to reach a stricken climber 7,400m up on Dhaulagiri.

Sherpa, was at Everest Base Camp leading a team of 23 climbers, 25 Sherpas and 10 supporting staff when the avalanche hit. This is his story of survival.
